Maurice LaMarche

Futurama, The Real Ghostbusters, Pinky and the Brain, Batman: Arkham Series

Maurice LaMarche, distinguished by his high school peers as the one "Most Likely To Be Someone Else," has been captivating audiences with his character voices and impressions from a young age. His professional journey began at 19, when he stepped onto the stage of "Yuk Yuk’s" comedy club in Toronto, marking the start of his career alongside friends Howie Mandel and Jim Carrey. By 1980, LaMarche had relocated to Los Angeles, embarking on a decade-long venture in standup comedy, opening for icons like Rodney Dangerfield, George Carlin, as well as bands Kool & The Gang, and during The Temptations/The Four Tops Tour.

1985 saw LaMarche venture into the realm of animation voiceovers, quickly securing roles such as "Chief Quimby" in "Inspector Gadget" and "Egon Spengler" in "The Real Ghostbusters." This marked the beginning of a prolific career in voice acting, contributing to over a hundred animated series. His exceptional talent has earned him three Emmy nominations—first in 1990 for the satirical "D.C. Follies," followed by a 1999 nomination and later win for his role as "The Brain" in "Pinky & The Brain," and recently, a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for his work in "Futurama," where he voices over seventy characters including "Morbo The Newscaster" and "Kif Kroker."

Beyond animation, LaMarche's voice resonates in the commercial sphere as Toucan Sam, the mascot for Kellogg’s Froot Loops, since 1987, and as the signature voice of Lexus since the summer of 2009. His journey from a comedic talent to a celebrated voice actor showcases a career filled with versatility, humor, and exceptional voice artistry.
