We invite you to join us on June 12-14 in Altoona, PA at the Blair County Convention Center. We pride ourselves on not being like the other corporate, cookie-cutter celebrity guest flea markets. Sci-Fi Valley Con is designed for everyone to have a more personal and intimate experience with all our celebrity guest actors, the exhibitors, and the staff. You will cherish the memories and relationships that will blossom here. Mark your calendars; it’s time to finally come home. We are the convention with culture.

Casey B. Bassett is the founder and promoter of Sci-Fi Valley Con. He created Assett Conventions, LLC in August 2011 to be the parent company for the annual science fiction convention we all know and love as ‘Sci-Fi Valley Con’. He has grown Sci-Fi Valley Con’s popularity over the years from a tiny event in an ice rink to one of the largest convention centers in the state. Ask anyone who loves Sci-Fi Valley Con, they will tell you the same thing “It feels less like a convention and more like a family. You can see how much love the staff has for the show, the attendees, the exhibitors and the guests.”
Casey prides himself on how much heart he puts into the show. He oversees and controls every aspect of the convention personally. When you call or email Sci-Fi Valley Con, you will be talking to him. When you visit the website or read the newsletter or see promotional material about Sci-Fi Valley Con, you can bet that it was all created personally by Casey.
And yes, even this blurb written about Casey Bassett, was written by Casey Bassett. And yes again, it is weird to write about yourself in the third person. I hope you all realize how much your support means to me. We have all grown the convention so much together over the years. We’ve all, especially me; have gotten to meet so many talented and absolutely amazing people since 2011. It has been life changing for me, my family, and all my friends. I live Sci-Fi Valley Con 365 days a year… and if you see me in public, chances are I’m wearing a Sci-Fi Valley Con t-shirt. That’s because I own about 40 different shirts and I wear them like Steve Jobs wore his turtlenecks.
