In 2001, author Kara Ballenger began sketching out mini comics and panels for Fire Sphere. Kara was going through one of the most difficult periods in her life at the time, and her own life and struggles began to pour onto the page through her character Gabrielle Kimura. Over the years, Gabrielle helped Kara gain the inner strength she needed, but something still seemed to be missing. So six years ago she drew up another mini comic which included the character Ahmes. Ahmes was the embodiment of everything Kara hoped to have in her life one day, and the Egyptian goddess filled the missing pieces that had previously existed in Fire Sphere. Now Kara is thriving as a person, and Fire Sphere is quickly becoming a wonderful story that aims to help anyone who is struggling in their life rise from the ashes to become the best possible version of themselves. After 16 years of constant work on this story, Kara hopes all of you love and cherish her baby, Fire Sphere.
In December of 2016, Mads Cherluck became the co-author and secondary artist of Fire Sphere. Mads and Kara had met at a convention in October and quickly realized that their writing and artistic styles, as well as their morals and ethics were very similar. A friendship blossomed almost immediately and as soon as Mads began writing with Kara, Fire Sphere was churning out almost a chapter a day! Mads loves working on Fire Sphere and looks forward to assisting Kara for many years to come.
